Position Overview

The Kitchen Staff Support at Crescent View Academy (CVA) is responsible for assisting with various tasks within the kitchen to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This role includes food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining kitchen supplies and equipment. The Kitchen Staff Support plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen team and ensuring that meals are prepared and served in a safe and hygienic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Food Preparation and Handling
  • Assistance: Assist in preparing ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring. Follow recipes and instructions to support the cooking process.
  • Cooking Support: Help with basic cooking tasks, such as stirring, portioning, and plating, under the guidance of more senior kitchen staff.
  • Food Storage: Ensure proper storage of food items, including labeling and dating, to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage.
  1. Cleaning and Sanitation
  • Kitchen Cleaning: Perform cleaning tasks such as washing dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils. Clean countertops, floors, and other kitchen surfaces.
  • Sanitation: Follow sanitation practices to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Waste Management: Manage waste disposal and recycling, ensuring that waste is properly sorted and removed from the kitchen area.
  1. Inventory and Supplies
  • Stock Management: Assist in monitoring inventory levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients. Help with stocking shelves and organizing supplies.
  • Supply Orders: Report any low stock or supply needs to the Lead Kitchen Personnel or Assistant Lead Kitchen Personnel. Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
  1. Support and Collaboration
  • Team Support: Support the kitchen team by performing various tasks as needed, including running errands, assisting with special events, and handling additional duties.
  • Communication: Maintain effective communication with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and address any issues promptly.
  1. Safety and Compliance
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, equipment use, and personal hygiene.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Follow school policies and local health department regulations related to food service and kitchen operations.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen environment or food service role is a plus but not required.
  • Skills:
    • Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
    • Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness

Business Office Assistant Marketing and Donor Tracking

POSITION TITLE: Business Office Assistant (Marketing and Donor Tracking)

RATE OF PAY: $19.00-22.00 per hours

Job Summary:
The Business Office Assistant 2 (Marketing and Donor Tracking) at Crescent View Academy is responsible for supporting the school’s marketing efforts and managing donor relationships. This role involves coordinating marketing campaigns, tracking donor contributions, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders. The Assistant also plays a key role in promoting the school’s mission and values through various channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Marketing Coordination:
    • Assist in developing and executing marketing strategies to promote Crescent View Academy’s programs and events.
    • Create and distribute marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, social media content, and email campaigns.
    • Maintain and update the school’s website and social media platforms with current information and engaging content.
    • Coordinate school events and promotional activities, ensuring they align with the school’s mission and brand.
  2. Donor Tracking and Management:
    • Maintain an accurate database of donors, sponsors, and other supporters.
    • Track and record all donations, sponsorships, and other contributions to the school.
    • Prepare donor acknowledgment letters, receipts, and other correspondence.
    • Assist in planning and executing fundraising campaigns and donor appreciation events.
  3. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Prepare regular reports on marketing activities, donor contributions, and campaign outcomes for review by the Director of School Business and Development.
    • Analyze the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and fundraising initiatives and suggest improvements.
  4. Community and Public Relations:
    • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with community partners, local businesses, and other stakeholders.
    • Represent Crescent View Academy at community events, fairs, and other public engagements.
    • Coordinate outreach efforts to increase the school’s visibility and reputation in the community.
  5. Administrative Support:
    • Provide administrative support to the Director of School Business and Development, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and handling correspondence.
    • Assist with other business office tasks as needed, including filing, data entry, and office organization.
  6. Islamic Conduct and Professional Ethics:
    • Model and uphold Islamic values in all professional interactions and decision-making processes.
    • Ensure that marketing and donor management practices align with Crescent View Academy’s mission and Islamic principles.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in marketing, fundraising, or donor relations preferred.
    • Experience in a school or educational setting is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Proficiency in marketing software, social media platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Creative thinking and ability to generate engaging content.
    • Understanding of Islamic principles and values and how they apply to business practices.

Work Hours:

  • Start Time: 7:45
  • End Time: 4:15 PM

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development as outlined in the Employment Agreement.
